Signature

If you went to Red Lobster and they were out of lobster you probably wouldn't go back.

If you went to Starbucks and they were out of coffee you would never trust them again.

If you went to Buffalo Wild Wings and they didn't have wings you would take your business else where.

These are what we call signature items. Its what these brands are known for.
711 is known for their slurpee. Not their gas, service or coffee.

Why then is the machine broken 60% of the time?

Shouldn't you put every effort towards making your signature item as perfect and flawless as possible?

When will customers finally give up and stop going?

Steak Breakfast

Just saw two people walking with a to go bag of Steak and Shake breakfast.

What?

I'm not sure I understand what Steak and Shake is anymore. Are they fast food? Diner? Fast casual?

One thing I know for sure is the only thing I would be interested in getting there for breakfast or any other meal is a strawberry milkshake.

Here is an idea......Steak and Shake stop trying to be everything to everybody. Focus on what you're good at.....steak and shakes.

Worrying

If restaurants spent less time worrying about what coupons to put in the paper........ and more time focusing on their menu and service they might be surprised that more people would come dine with them.

Cold

Starbucks desperate attempt to save the world by not using styrofoam cups results in over priced coffee getting cold in 4.6 minutes.

Maybe their new tag line should be.....saving the world one cold cup of coffee at a time.
